Bio
I was born and raised in Bangladesh and had lived in Dhaka my entire, until I moved to McMaster University, Canada, for my graduate study in the Medical Science program (MSc). I researched about goblet cell biology and host-microbe interaction in Trichuris muris parasitic infection during that period, which contributed to my growing interest in delving deeper into gut microbial research in autoimmune inflammatory disease, which led me to my joining at Dr. Shailesh Shahi's lab at the University of Iowa. Prior to my MSc, I finished Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Outside of laboratory, I love doing photography, painting, reading books, watching anime, and listening to music!
