Bio

I grew up in Minnesota and am now a senior at Cornell College completing my B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. My clinical experiences in anesthesia, neurology, laboratory medicine, and MRI radiology have strengthened my interest in patient-centered care and the molecular mechanisms that shape human health.

My research interests center on neuro-immunology, the gut–brain axis, and the role of the microbiome in neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis. I am especially drawn to how immune responses, metabolism, and microbial environments interact to influence disease progression and therapeutic possibilities. I also enjoy exploring molecular techniques and translational questions that bridge basic science with clinical relevance.

Outside academics, I volunteer at the free medical and dental clinics, take walks with my dogs, and continue to explore diverse pathways in healthcare as I prepare for the next step in my medical and scientific journey.
