Bio

I grew up in Iowa City and stayed to attend the University of Iowa, where I earned my B.A. in Biology. During my undergraduate studies, I discovered my passion for research while working in Ali Jabbari’s lab studying the collapse of immune privilege in hair follicles in order to better understand the autoimmune disease alopecia areata. I have since continued my education in the Pathology M.S. Program, where I am further developing my skills as a scientist. Outside the lab, I enjoy spending time with my dog, crafting, playing piano, and treating myself to something sweet.
