Bio

I grew up in Waukee Iowa, and I have always been captivated by the fundamental principles of science that explain the phenomena of our daily lives. Prior to starting college, I had very limited experience with lab material, but saw the opportunity to join Dr. Shahi’s Lab as a way to conjoin my passion and curiosity for the health sciences and apply it to further improving individuals' quality of life. 

Becoming a member of the Shahi Lab provides the possibility to grow my knowledge, learn from my peers, and obtain new skills within in the field of science. In the future I plan on a career in health sciences yet am currently in between the path of research and becoming a medical doctor. This procedural research knowledge will be beneficial in my future career and provide valuable insights into my decision-making process. 

Outside of the lab I enjoy listening to live music, running, and cooking.
