My name is Mallory Wurth, and I am a biology undergraduate here at the University of Iowa wanting to get involved in health sciences.

 I am specifically interested in your lab because of your focus on trying to better understand how obesity and the gut microbiome can have an impact on an individual's immune system and be the root of various autoimmune diseases. 

 I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to further discuss and learn more about the Shahi Lab.
