Malinda Thao
I grew up in Minnesota and am currently a student at the College of Saint Scholastica pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have always been interested in helping people through the medical field while also enjoying the challenge of solving problems and discovering new solutions through research.
My prior research experience involved working with bacteria and bacteriophages, exploring their biology and potential applications. I have also developed an interest in studying the gut microbiome and its relationship to human health, particularly its potential connections to Multiple Sclerosis (MS). These experiences have strengthened my passion for research and its role in advancing our understanding of disease and improving patient outcomes.
Outside of academics and research, I enjoy playing video games, listening to music, and exploring arts and crafts projects.
